Evan was a student at Western Carolina University majoring in Psychology, with a strong interest in Neuroscience. He planned to attend medical school to become a Psychiatrist and help others who had mental health challenges similar to his own. He enjoyed many years playing soccer, scoring (and preventing) goals. Evan always had a strong interest in a wide range of music, from The Beatles to Gorillaz. He developed an interest in Nordic mythology and hoped to visit Iceland and other Nordic countries.
Evan will be dearly missed by his parents Doug and Julie; his sister Kate; his grandparents Paula and George; his uncle Chris; his aunt Maureen, her husband Scott, and their sons Jason and Eric; his great uncle Dave, great aunt Marsha, and their children Tim, Matthew, Kirsten, and Aaron, and their families; his uncle Steve and aunt Mary; his cousins Stephanie and Joe; the Schneeman family; the Roe Family; and many friends and neighbors.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and guests following the service until 3:00 PM.
