Franklin Cleveland Bair Jr.

Franklin Cleveland Bair, Jr., 60, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Duke University Hospital. Born on June 21, 1955 in Orangeburg, SC; he was the son of the late Franklin Cleveland Bair and Mary Esther Aultman Bair.

Franklin graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was currently the Facilities Manager at Novati (formerly Ziptronix) in Raleigh. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and golfing, as well as spending time with his two beagles, Maggie and Chloe.

Franklin is survived by his three children: Franklin C. Bair III, of Tucson, AZ, Lucas Bair, of Fuquay-Varina and Julia Bair, of Apex; by their mother: Pamela Bair, of Apex; his sister: Patti Jackling, of Summerville, SC; his nephews and niece: Christopher Jackling, Jayson (Kylie) Jackling, and Jessica Jackling; brother-in-law: Brent Snodgrass; and by other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Snodgrass, of St. Matthews, SC.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 31st, 2016 at 2 pm at Apex Funeral Home, with family to receive friends immediately following.
