Freddie Alexander Walker, 83, of Wilmington, died Thursday, October 18, 2012. He was born in Charlotte, NC to Fred Alexander Walker and Mary Sims Walker on February 12, 1929. Mr. Walker honorably served his country as a member of the US Air Force.
He is survived by his daughters: Vicky Mason and husband, Mike of Crossville, TN, and Patty West and husband, Kent of Wilmington; sons: Fred Walker, Jr of Crossville, TN, and Kevin Walker and wife, Jane of Apex; sister: Sara Wickham of Pope, MS; and his grandchildren: Britney West, Reed Walker, Ashley Walker, and Colby Welch.
Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Louise Hendren Walker.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, October 22, 2012 in the Apex Cemetery with military honors.
