He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious and Edna Parrish.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beverly Morgan Parrish; sons, Gene Jr. and Steve and wife, Pam; grandchildren, Jamie, April, Chase, and Lauren; brother-in-law, Jimmy Morgan of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Debra Wilinski and husband, Bruce, of Tampa, FL; and many cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Salem Baptist Church in Apex. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
