

Glen was a wonderful man with an adventurous soul. He had a passion for life and worked his absolute hardest to live each day to its fullest. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing any opportunity to be outdoors. He found golf enjoyable, even though his score may not have reflected it.
He was a 24 year veteran with Southwest Airlines Co. where he enjoyed working in numerous cities across the country, most recently in Chicago, IL. Glen loved his work and took great pride in his association with the Airline. In his many colleagues, he was able to find a second family. Glen’s personality was larger than life and you knew it by the many close friendships that he’s forged. He was a kind, compassionate, and selfless man who could turn any stranger into a best friend.
Glen is survived by his wife, Nancy English of Apex, NC; daughter, Alissa English of the home; son, Seth English of the home; parents, Berry and Jean English of Austin, TX and Fredericksburg, VA; sisters, Jacque English of Texas, and Patti English of Fredericksburg, VA; brother in law, Tim Ingram and his wife Cathy; nephews, Brandon Williamson, Justin Williamson, and Heath Ingram; niece, Heather Ingram. He is also survived by numerous wonderful friends and 3 beloved pets.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex. NC. Larry Haun of Fredericksburg Baptist Church will officiate. Immediately following the service, guests are invited to reconvene with the family to Apex Baptist Church, 110 S. Salem St., Apex, NC where a light luncheon will take place.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Apex Funeral Home. A Cremation Ceremony will take place in Texas at a later time.
