I enjoyed working with Iris at UNC.  It was a great experience.  She was a true friend and I miss her dearly.  My thoughts are with her and her family and friends.

I am terribly sad to hear that Iris is no longer with us.  She was one of my dearest friends at NC State and helped me through some difficult times with good advice and affection.  My thoughts and prayers are with her, her family and all those she loved.

Patrick, my thoughts are with you. Iris was a loving mother, a thoughtful friend & a beautiful person inside and out. I'm so glad to have known her.

Some of my first memories are of Iris, a tiny blue gray kitten, a drive down Kildare Farm Road in it's early days and visits to the Holt home.  My prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time.

My prayers and condolences go out to all of the family.  Iris and I were friends in High School in Garner.  Like most high school friends, people go away to school and start families and you loose touch.  I had not seen her since graduation until our 40th class reunion.  She looked so good and had a zest for life that was remarkable.  She was a wonderful person and keep all her memories in your heart so you can reflect on them often.

In remembrance of those warm, lazy summer days long ago spent climbing trees, building tobacco stick houses, roaming the fields and woods and wading in the Adkin, we will always honor and cherish our dear friend and playmate.

I am so saddened to learn of Iris' passing.  I loved talking with her at our 40th high school reunion for the first time since senior year and was truly awed by the grace and determination that defined her.
