James was born August 16, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA to the late James C. Rogers and Frances Lefurgy Rogers. He was employed with UNC Hospitals as an operating room manager.
James is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia Marie Vitarelli Rogers; brother, Rod Rogers of Hawaii and sister, Karen Rogers of California.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 11, 2014 at First Assembly of Raleigh, 3249 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
