Jason was raised in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, where he graduated from Bergen County Technical High School. He began his career working for his family business, Hugo Rahn and Sons, as a carpenter for three years. His curiosity about how things worked began at the age of seven, when he famously took apart the family radio in search of “the man inside.” After working alongside his father and brother, Jason chose to follow his passion for technology. He attended the Cittone Institute, where he graduated with honors in Information Technology.
Eleven years ago, Jason moved to North Carolina with his family in search of a more relaxed way of life. He worked for NeuroCog Trials and later spent eight years with Cintas. To those who knew him, Jason could seem tough on the outside but had a deeply caring heart. He had a unique sense of humor and a strong desire to do everything he could for his family.
Jason met his wife, Diane, at the age of 15 at a roller rink. Five years later, they began a relationship that would last a lifetime. They were married for 25 years, just one month shy of their 26th wedding anniversary.
Jason is survived by his loving wife, Diane Rahn; his son, Nicholas Rahn; and their beloved “fur babies (dogs).” He was the cherished son of Bernice and Hugo Rahn. He was the twin brother of Erik Rahn Sr. and the older brother of Adam Rahn. and a proud uncle to Erik Jr. and Madison. He was also a beloved son-in-law to Maria Hefka.
A celebration of life will be held on May 15, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Apex NC.
