Jay Thomas Mullins passed on to Heaven on January 9th, 2012. He was born July 10, 1950 at Mercy Hospital in Nassau County, Long Island, New York, the home of his parents Cecilia Teresa Power Mullins and Kennedy Francis Mullins.

Jay was an amazing person. He was very absolute in his opinions and beliefs which was one of the things I loved about him. We met on GOLO which led to much correspondence between us offline as well. His passion for music and animals never waivered. The one thing I will always remember most about Jay was his love for his mother.

Jeff and Kelly: The services were beautiful this weekend for Jay, and he would be so proud of you both. Paul and I have so many fond memories of Jay, and he has been a dear brother to me. He was always the sweatest guy, and we will really miss him. You will be in our thoughts and prayers, and you can know that Jay is looking down over you from a better, and more peaceful place. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, children and love ones. Jay was such a wonderful and caring person and will truly be missed. Jay was my supervisor during the time I worked in Pittsboro for CP&L. We had many conversations about fishing which we both enjoyed. Take comfort in knowing that he is at rest.

I was saddened to hear of Jay's passing. I havnt seen him in years but remember him well. Without him I wouldn't have survived all the good 'old boys of economic development! He taught me so much about ED and dealing with perspective clients. We spent many a day in the random corners of this country my first year on the job. He and I both shared a love for live music and spent much time discussing our favorite bands. I still have the steak knives he picked up for me on a trip to Indiana. I know he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr Mullins but in being friends with his son Jeff, I feel like I had. Jeff's love for fishing and music has been shared with countless friends. I'm thankful Mr Mullins taught his son well so we all can benefit from what he passed on. Very sorry for the loss.

I remember Jay and Pam growing up. I lived across the street, actually hwy 54. We graduated together from Cary the same year. I hate I lost touch with Jay, and the rest of the gang from that neighborhood.
