Jeanette Sonderberg (Waller) Adamski

July 7, 1931 – September 10, 2026
Obituary of Jeanette Sonderberg (Waller) Adamski
IN THE CARE OF

Apex Funeral Home

Jeanette Sonderberg Adamski (née Waller) was born to Eva and Joseph Waller, along with her twin brother, Daniel, in Chicago, IL, on July 7, 1931. After a life well lived, she passed away at 95 years old on September 10, 2026.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Joseph Waller; three brothers, LeRoy, Daniel, and Vincent Waller; her first husband and father of her two daughters, Herbert Sonderberg; her second husband, Raymond Adamski; and her son-in-law, Henry Crews.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Crews and Sandra Reilly-Atcheson (husband, Scott Atcheson); six grandchildren, Michael, Dawn, Patrick, Jim, Rob, and Heather; and twelve great-grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Grandma-Great." She is also survived by her sister, Diane Keeran, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Jeanette had a long-time career at Motorola in Chicago, IL. A real spitfire, she loved going to the casino, playing poker, bingo, and bunco, and she never met a stranger. She loved living in Heritage Pines, where she made many lifelong friends, before moving to Sunrise Assisted Living shortly after her 90th birthday. There, she quickly became known and loved by all—fondly dubbed the “Bingo Queen"—and alongside her beloved dog, Skyler, made friends with everyone she met.

Jeanette will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Herb, at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Niles, IL. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family under "Add a Memory" below.
