Cam, as he was known by all, was a life-long resident of Durham. He was born on February 4, 1933 to John Camden Hundley, Sr. and Margaret Eloise Hannah Hundley, both of Durham. Cam attended Durham Academy, Durham High School and graduated from Duke University. He was a deacon and sang in the choir at First Presbyterian Church in Durham. He spent the first half of his career as an accountant with Duke University and, for the past 20 years, worked at Sports Endeavors in Hillsborough, NC, where he was loved by all.
Cam is survived by his three children Page Hundley Gorback (Michael), Maggie Hundley Ingram (Kevin), and John Camden Hundley, IV (Tammy) and grandchildren Caitlin S. Gorback, Hannah G. Gorback, Gregor S. Ingram, Cameron M. Ingram, Austin F. Hundley and Maxwell J. Hundley.
Cam loved his family, his friends at work and Elmo's Diner and his hometown of Durham. His kindness, his generosity and his quiet wit endeared him to all who were lucky enough to know him. He was a proud grandfather, a loyal friend and a beloved father. Cam was an avid ice skater who spent hundreds of hours at the Ice Plex in Hillsborough teaching classes and skating for his own pleasure. He loved Duke sports and watching golf. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and his multitude of friends. Cam was the epitome of a true Southern Gentleman.
