Johnnie Faye Howard, 72, of Cary died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Duke University Medical Hospital. Mrs. Howard was born in Chatham Co, NC on February 10, 1942 to John Buck Lasater and Buna Goodwin Lasater.
She is survived by her son: Tim Howard (Tara) of Cary; daughter: Beth Rhew (Kevin) of Apex; sister: Jo Horner (Gary) of Apex; grandchildren: Trevor Howard, Justin Rhew, Erin and Brent Fonville and Lauren Walker; and great grandchild: Tate Fonville. She is also survived by her close friend of 27 years, Ben (Pa) Johnson of Clayton.
Mrs. Howard is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Yates Howard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
