Jon was born on July 12, 1954 to Louise & Harold MacBride. Jon was a talented artist, had an awesome sense of humor and would turn a bad situation into a good one. There is no doubt that Jon’s number one love was his family. From the earliest of years, he played a pivotal role in his children’s lives. Whether he was coaching junior hockey league, attending football games and swim meets when the children were young or boasting about their accomplishments as adults and pinning a badge on his daughters’ uniform, he was by every measure a loving and caring father. His laugh was contagious and he would start everyday with a smile and energy to take on the day. He loved his wife completely and will be missed beyond words.
Jon dedicated 45 years of caring and service to the community through his work in law enforcement in Monroe County, NY Sheriff; Cary, Morrisville, and RDU Police Departments.
Jon met the woman who would become his wife, April, while in Rochester, NY. Jon and April shared over 30 years together. Jon loved his family greatly. He was the proud father of Jason (Robyn); Matt (Colleen); Nichole, Jonathan, Tyler, and Jamie. He leaves to celebrate his life, April, his six children, brother, James (Hope) MacBride, grandchildren (Nathan, Nora, Finneas, Emerson), and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and a plethora of friends.
