Jon, Junior, Daddy, Cookie (by his wife) has passed away unexpectedly and much too soon on March the 22nd. He was a husband and father of amazing talents who walked the land with a loving heart, touching many people while building with his life’s love, Natalia, a family that blended two cultures into one beautiful whole.
In passing he joins his mother and brother who joined God when Jon was younger. He built a career in information technology learning from scratch and developing an expertise in VMWare while managing many major projects during his career. Despite the highly technical demands of his career, he possessed a unique ability to deliver humor with an uncanny knack for timing. In his youth he mastered nearly the entire dialog of the movie “Arthur” with many days Jon and his Mom sharing quips back and forth non-stop.
Family was his enduring life’s work. As a father he devoted himself to raising his extended family ensuring that their children were educated even while becoming a volunteer baseball coach, soccer coach and even more recently working with his youngest as ice hockey became a past time.
He is survived by his wife, Natalia; stepson, Etan; stepdaughter, Sofia; sons, Jon and Nico; half-sister Angela; and stepmother, Karen and his father, Jon. Saying he will be missed is beyond the remotest of sentiments.
The family will receive friends, guests, neighbors, co-workers and all of his many connections on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home.
In lieu of traditional remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
