Juanita P. Russak, 96, died Friday, November 5th in Sugar Grove, NC. She was born on February 24, 1914 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She worked for 35 years with the Miami Vice Squad in the Forensic Unit. Mrs. Russak was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the outdoors, nature, cooking and serving others. She was a remarkable person and was a true friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Alex Russak, step-daughter; Lori Balsley and husband Greg of McKinney TX; granddaughter-in-law, Beverlie Beasley Allred; great-grandson; Cody Ray Allred; 2 nieces, Eileen Kleinkopt and Carol Biegal of New Jersey; and special friends, Tommy and Anita Pressnell of Sugar Grove. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Ann Allred and grandson, Raymond Arthur Allred.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Friday, November 12, 2010 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday in the Chapel of Apex Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Apex Cemetery.
