I have known Judy for a very long time, Patti and Joe lived across the street from me and our girls grew up together and Judy and Dave were a very big part of there lives. She was a great Mama and such a wonderful person. No matter how we lose our loved ones to Cancer or Alzeheimer or heart attack in the end when we lose them it is so hard. It leaves a hole in our hearts, and we live for all the memories and the happy times we had with them. So just know I am thinking of you and your family at this time and know she was very much loved. Praying for you and your family God Bless.

There is an old phrase, "just friends," that does not do justice to the kinds of friends that are more than fun, more than generous, and certainly more like family. Judy and Big Dave Scherer are the kinds of friends people long to have. They have always been so much more than "just friends."
My parents have enjoyed their friendship for five decades. How lucky I am to have enjoyed Mrs. Scherer's company over the years at numerous family events. I noted on Facebook earlier today that the first words that come to mind about her are, 'strength, resilience, humor, and calm.' Much love and gratitude for her example of love of family and friends.

Judy and I had our babies at the same time and shared many happy memories of our families togetherness as neighbors and long distance friends, never losing contact no matter where we lived. I will miss my friend.

Judy was an amazing lady. She treated me as a family member and that is something I will always remember. May she rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
