PITTSBORO - Kandi Marie Herndon, age 31, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 17 while visiting her fiancé in Brno Czech Republic. She was employed with UNC Hospital Systems. Family and friends were Kandi’s love and joy especially her son, Logan Keck of Pittsboro.
She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Elizabeth Herndon and David Beasley, of Moncure; father, Dwayne Herndon Sr. of Creedmoor; three brothers, Charles Thomas of Pittsboro, Dwayne Herndon of Durham, Eli Herndon of Creedmoor, two sisters, Christina Thomas of Pittsboro and Noelle Herndon of Durham; maternal grandparents, Margaret Frye of Pittsboro and Ronald Frye of Georgia and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Dianne Herndon of Creedmoor.
Family and friends will be honoring the life of Kandi with a memorial service on Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Olive Chapel Baptist Church in Apex, NC.
Kandi’s smile and zest for life will be missed but her love will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
