OBITUARY

Kathleen "Kathy" Jo McGinn

March 1, 1971 – June 18, 2023
Obituary of Kathleen "Kathy" Jo McGinn
IN THE CARE OF

Apex Funeral Home

Kathy, a beloved sister, niece, aunt, great aunt, and friend, joined Our Lord on June 18th, 2023. Kathy grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania, graduated from Easton High School in 1989, and worked as a retail professional for over thirty years, 20 of them with Kohl’s Cary Crossroads. She called Cary, North Carolina home for the past 20 years where she lived close to her sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephews—who cherished every moment they were able to spend with their “fun aunt.”

Kathy never missed a family milestone to include graduations, three weddings, and the birth of seven great nieces and nephews. Always the favored playmate, Aunt Kathy's gentle and fun-loving nature attracted these little ones to her whenever she visited. Sharing doodles and silly cartoons in every birthday and holiday card, she had garnered quite a devoted fan club across the generations of her nieces and nephews.

A voracious reader and collector of British TV dramas and movies, Kathy amazed her family with an uncanny ability to recall quotes, detailed plots, and casting trivia from memory. This also extended to her collection of family memories captured in the many joyful pictures and keepsakes decorating the home that she shared with her cat, Fiona.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie McGinn and father, Thomas McGinn. She is survived and dearly missed by her sister, Michelle Lenzo and brother-in-law, Michael; nephew, Matthew Lenzo and wife Heidi; niece, Marissa Neal and husband Jonathan; and nephew, Marc Lenzo and wife Gianna. She is especially missed by her great nieces and nephews: Antony, Isabella, Sofia, Isaac, Olivia, Elianna, and Kellan.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh St, Easton, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, Sampson St, Easton, Pa.
