Kenneth James Targosky

Kenneth James Targosky, 58 of Cary, passed away on August 18, 2023 after many years of battles with cancer. He was born on December 10, 1964 in Berea, Ohio to the late Richard and Geraldine (McCormick) Targosky.

Ken is survived by his four children, Carley, Ally, and Dawson of the home in Cary; Brooke of Southern Pines; four brothers, Rick Targosky and wife Robin of Moundsville WV, Dave Targosky and wife Karla of Streetsboro OH, Gary Targosky and wife Linda of Fuquay Varina NC and Bob Targosky of Cary; seven nephews and four nieces.

What he enjoyed most in the world was his kids. There wasn't a thing he wouldn't do for them. With his kids he enjoyed travelling, attending sporting events, or being at home watching a sitcom. He was a family man and he was always there for a family gathering, no matter how big or small the occasion.

He was a hard worker. He graduated from NC State with a degree in computer science and from there went to work at Nortell, IBM, Lenovo, and finally NetApp. He loved all things computers, and in his free time would tinker away for hours.

Family will receive friends and guests on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, August 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home. A funeral mass will follow visitation on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM at St. Andrew the Roman Catholic Church in Apex. A Celebration of Life event will be held approximately 3:30 PM at Kildaire Farm Swim and Rec Clubhouse.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to Transitions Life Care of Raleigh.
