Larry Lee Woodall III

He was the son of the late Larry L Woodall, Jr and Marie H Woodall. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Faye Woodall, two daughters, Dawn Mercer (Derek) and Angie Ramsdell (Ed), four grandsons, Randy Woodall, Dylan Whitaker, Evan and Zachary Mercer, a sister, Donna Woodall Jones, a brother-in-law, Charles Beck, and a several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and his sister, Kathy Beck.

Larry was born in Swift Creek, NC on May 16, 1948. He lived in and around the area his entire life after graduating from Cary High School in 1966.

He was an electrician by trade. He was President of Woodall Electric Co., Inc., a family-owned business until his retirement. He was a member of North Carolina Association of Electrical Contractors. He served as president of the Durham Chapter of NCAEC.

He also served his community as a volunteer fireman at Swift Creek Fire Department for 25 years. He was an active member of Triangle Church. He enjoyed barbecuing for friends and his church family and was even referred to as the “deacon of chicken”.

He was an avid golfer for many years. He was a loyal Wolfpack football follower and loved to watch the Duke Blue Devils play basketball. He also loved rock steady boxing as he battled with Parkinson’s .

Our family is grateful for the support of Wake Med Cary and all his medical caregivers these last few years.

He was an amazing man of God and will be missed by so many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Larry’s church on Saturday, 2/8/2025 at 11:00 am at Triangle Church Christ, 2103 Page Rd Durham, NC 27703. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in his honor to The Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org
