

Lynn Guerrera, a beloved and cherished matriarch whose life was defined by her compassionate spirit and selfless devotion to others, passed away leaving a legacy of heartfelt kindness and generosity. Known for her inspirational and kind-hearted nature, Lynn spent her life uplifting everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Born with a natural warmth that drew people to her, Lynn spent most of her childhood growing up in Cedarhurst, New York. In 1983, she met the love of her life, Nick. The couple married in 1990, embarking on a beautiful journey of partnership and love that spanned 36 wonderful years. Following their wedding, they lived in Valley Stream, New York, before relocating to North Carolina in 1997, where they built a vibrant, welcoming home and life together.
Lynn’s career reflected her deeply rooted passion to care for her community. She spent many years working at the YMCA, followed by a dedicated career at Capital Area OBGYN, where her gentle presence and helpful nature comforted countless individuals.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Lynn lived her values daily through her immense generosity and service to others. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether she was playing bingo at the local senior center or embarking on memorable trips with her dear, close friends. Lynn loved to travel alongside her loved ones, making cherished memories, especially on cruises and magical trips to Disney World. Above all, she loved her family, and her favorite role in life was being a grandmother spending every moment she could with her grandchildren.
Lynn leaves behind a beautiful family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She is survived by her devoted husband, Nick; her three beloved children, Joey (and daughter-in-law Heather), Melissa, and Tommy; her two treasured grandchildren, Eleanor and Dominic; and her loving siblings, Donna, Scott, and Danielle. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will miss her guidance and unconditional love.
Lynn’s legacy of selflessness, compassion, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502, US, on September 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again on September 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502, US, on September 14, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at Wake Memorial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Road, 103, Cary, NC 27519, US, on September 14, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
A Reception will follow at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502, US, on September 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
