Margaret Benton Ferry

Margaret Benton Ferry, 98, of Apex, passed peacefully away at Rex Healthcare in Apex on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. She was born in Cary, NC on September 26, 1914 to the late Howard C. Benton and Lillian Jones Benton. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, George M. Ferry; grandson, Johnathan L. Pfefferkorn; and brothers, Bruce L. Benton and Talmadge Benton.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Kathryn F. Pfefferkorn; granddaughters, Lori Stanley (Danny) and Mandy Halker (Matt); great grandchildren, Christopher and Eli Halker; and brothers, James Benton and Robert Benton.

A celebration of her life will be held at Apex Funeral Home on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior. Burial will immediately follow in Apex Cemetery.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to Apex Baptist Church, the Apex Historical Society, or the Durham Rescue Mission.
