Martin Avery Parrish

Born on November 22, 1954, in Amityville, NY to his parents, James and Evelyn Parrish. Marty grew up in Merrick, Long Island where he made lifelong friends. While working at Macy’s he met his best friend and wife, Theresa. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends this year. His life will be defined by his strong faith, love of family (especially his grandchildren) and our country. Marty was recently inducted in The Knights of Columbus where he looked forward to volunteering and helping others.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Parrish; mother, Evelyn Parrish; brother, Robert Parrish; sisters-in-law, Jeanne, Patricia; and brothers-in-law, Matthew and Joseph.

Martin is lovingly remembered by his wife, Theresa Parrish; sons Robert (Carolyn), James (Kim), Timothy (Meg); grandchildren, Evie, Donnie, Emma, Liam, Hudson, Holden, Harvey; sisters, Cheryl and Doreen (Gene); brothers, James, Gregory, and William (Pam); Sister-in-law Kathie (Peter); and brothers-in-law, Gregory, Gerard, Richard (Rose), Timothy (Jamie), John (Nicole), Paul, Dean.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Apex, NC. He will be laid to rest immediately following mass in the church columbarium.
