Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Trotman Ferguson

Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Ferguson, 89, of New Hill went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2012 after a long illness. Mrs. Ferguson was born in South Mills, NC on July 17, 1923 to Charles Trotman and Mary Lizzie Pierce Trotman. Mrs. Ferguson was a devoted member of New Hill Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Silas Jack Ferguson, and 5 brothers.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her son: Chris Ferguson and wife, Marilyn R. Ferguson of New Hill; granddaughter: Holly Ferguson; brother: Frank Trotman of Crestwell, NC; sisters: Audrey Harris of Newland, NC, and Francis Sawyer of Camp Hill, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. A Celebration of Her Life will begin at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Apex Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Apex Cemetery.

Mrs. Ferguson’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Wake County for the tender and loving care given to their mother during her illness.
