Melba Beasley

Melba was born on May 8, 1928 in Apex, NC to the late Samuel and Lucille Miller.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Graham Beasley; son, George Richard Beasley; sisters, Elsie Ragan, Peggy Beasley and Frankie Williams.

She is survived by her son, Michael Graham Beasley Sr. (Beci); daughter, Betsy Beasley Anderson; grandchildren, Stephanie Beasley, Michael “Graham” Beasley Jr, Traci Mattachione (Michael) and Craig Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Avery Mattachione and Jake Mattachione.

Next to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Melba loved to read. She was known to read the same book several times because she enjoyed it so much.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
