Michael James Ferguson

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home 550 W. Williams Street in Apex, NC with a Celebration of Life Service in his honor held at 6:00 PM followed by a reception held at the funeral home for family and friends.

Michael will be remembered by his family as someone who loved to hike and fish and being in the outdoors were some of his favorite things he enjoyed. He worked as a prep cook at a local restaurant in Boone where he enjoyed working and made many friends there and across North Carolina. He never met a stranger and enjoyed helping those he met in any way he could. He had a smile which helped him brighten the day for his family and friends and those he met.

He will be missed dearly and loved by his family and friends who will miss him especially his parents and his brother Jesse who will remember him as a loving son and brother.

He is survived by his parents Jim and Jill Ferguson, his brother Jesse; his grandparents Ann and James Ferguson; cousins Joey, Patrick, Nicole, Dayna and Kimberly; his aunts patty Faiella, Lee Altieri, Carol Stolze and Julie; his uncles John, Joe and Steve and many friends he made along his life’s journey.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Marilyn and John Rera.
