Born in Sassano, Italy, she was a resident of the town of Apex, North Carolina.
Mina was the young age of fifteen when she married the love of her life, Dominic Raymond Romanelli; at which point she came to the United States of America. During her lifetime Mina had a passion for cooking, running restaurants, going to shows and films alike.
Some years after having her four children, Mina and her husband Dominic opened and ran a successful pizza-style restaurant in Connecticut. With a passion for cooking and a passion for family, Mina left her mark on the Connecticut food scene.
After her husband; a World War II Veteran entered the VA medical system, Mina became the first female to become a head chef within the VA.
Mina had a passion for her Lord, Jesus Christ and was an avid member of various churches in the Raleigh-Durham-Cary area. She was and will always be known as a prayer warrior, willing to pray for and help anyone and everyone she came across. She often donated not only her time, but her money as well, to charities to help others find the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Her hobbies included walking around the mall, riding trains, going to movies and spending time with her children, grand children and great grand child. Nothing pleased Mina more than seeing her family together. Even to the end, she would stop at nothing and go to endless lengths to see her family in full harmony.
Anyone lucky enough to have known Mina would be the first person to tell you she had a heart of gold and will be remembered for eternity.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 12:30-2:30 pm at Apex Funeral Home, with procession from the funeral home to Montlawn Memorial Park for Graveside Services at 3:00 pm.
