Nagarji was born in Amanpore, India (gaam Kuched), on July 21, 1934 to the late Makanji and Maniben Patel. He moved to Malawi in the late 1950’s and worked as an accountant. He married his life partner Urmilaben and they started a new life and a new family.
He then moved to Zambia in pursuit of business opportunities in the early 1960’s and lived in Luanshya and Chingola. He operated a small business and later on worked as an accountant.
Seeking a better future for his family he moved to the United States in the late 1970’s. He owned a small hospitality business in southern Maryland for many years before settling in Cary, North Carolina in the late 1990’s.
He was beloved by his family; his wife Urmilaben, his sons, Narendra and Viral, his daughter Pratibha, daughter-in-law’s Anita and Neesha, son-in-law Jitendra and grandchildren Karina, Namisha, Artish and Shyla.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 12th, 2021 at 11:00 am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's Street Raleigh, NC.
