Peggy Joyce McCarty Clem

Peggy was born February 27, 1935 in Athens, GA to late Wesley and Stella Fair McCarty. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Peggy was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Elmer D. Clem; brothers, George, Donald and Sam McCarty; sister, Dot Srakocic.

Peggy is survived by her son, David Clem and wife, Shelba; two grandchildren, Travis Clem and wife, Jessica; Kelly Mann and husband, Russ; and five great grandchildren, Austin, Aidan and Carson Clem, Carly and Ally Mann; sisters-in-law, Anne and Sue McCarty.

A Funeral Service will be held 2pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502. Burial will follow the service at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
