OBITUARY
Primo Louis Iannone
January 18, 1936 – April 1, 2013
Primo L. Iannone, age 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 18, 1936 in Endicott, NY to Louis and Angelina (Capri) Iannone. He was the youngest of four children. Primo served on active duty in the Army of the United States from 1955 to 1961. He was a proud, past Exalted Ruler of Endicott Elks Lodge 1977. Primo had a successful career as a Computer Engineer with IBM Poughkeepsie and IBM Owego for 35 years. Following his retirement he relocated to Apex, NC to be near family. Primo had a passion for photography and was often seen with his camera around his neck. Primo loved to take pictures of everything from flowers to unique buildings and landscapes, and most of all his family. He created beautiful collages and DVD’s as gifts to family and friends that will be our keepsakes. Primo loved to visit his grandchildren in NYC and explore and photograph his way all around Manhattan. He enjoyed listening to his music on his drive to Binghamton, NY to visit his daughter and play cards with his buddies at the Elks Lodge.
Primo is survived by his loving daughters; Melinda Freeman and Julie Iannone Pastro (James), his brother, Anthony (Arlene) Iannone, his sister in law Rose Iannone, his cherished grandchildren, Skyler and Mariella Pastro, and devoted nephews and nieces; Joseph and Renee Iannone, Louis and Beth Iannone, Joannie and Al Galbraith, Patty and Bill Rusciano, four very special grandnieces; Jessie, Marie, Hannah and Matthew, and the mother of his children, Joan Iannone.
He was predeceased by his parents, his siblings Joseph and Eleanor and infant daughter Lisa.
Primo’s family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex. A chapel service will follow at 2:00 pm.
Special thanks to the staff at Spring Arbor of Apex and Hospice of Wake County.
In lieu of flowers his family requests donations in his honor to Western Wake Crisis Ministry, 103 East Chatham Street, Apex, NC 27502 or Elks Lodge, Endicott, NY No. 1977, 619 N Nanticoke Ave, Endicott, NY 13760-4116.

Julie, Malenda and family.........
I was so sorry to hear Primo was ill a few weeks ago.
Primo has been a great friend since I first met him at the Endicott Elks back in 1987. He opened up his home so I could stay with him a couple of times I was traveling to Myrtle Beach.
We really looked forward to having him come up to the Triple Cities two or three times each year.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

I only knew Primo for the past few weeks while he was a resident at Spring Arbor. I enjoyed my talks with him and his always pleasant smile and warm heart. He knew his health issues were serious but never complained or had a negative attitude. Many mornings, following breakfast, I would push him back to his room and that gave me a time to chat and visit with him. He loved his family that was clear.
Julie, I am so sorry for your loss and know that your Dad would always smile when I asked how you were doing. You have great memories. use them during this sad time. You had a great Dad and he knew you loved him.
It is a small world, for us to have lived so close to for all these years and I only got to know him these last few weeks. God works in strange ways. It is a blessing that your dad did not have a long suffering battle, that was not what he wanted.
He was at a Spring Arbor concert last week presented by Vocal Motion and really enjoyed the music. That is how I see him when I think of him.
