Regina was born on June 19, 1963 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Thomas and Rose Treacy. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Regis University with a bachelor’s degree in International Marketing and Project Management. She had a long and distinguished career at IBM. She was member of Women Software Engineering and IBM North Carolina Technical Experts Council and the recipient of numerous merit awards including the IBM means service award. During her 30-year career, she rose to the level of second line management in network/cloud services before her retirement.
In her retirement, she loved walking on the beach with her beautiful and sweet Maltese, Mabe, reading, gardening, volunteering to speak with and support women newly diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as vacationing and spending time with her family. She touched many people in her life with her generosity, empathy and kindness. There is really no way to express how much she will be missed by all who loved her.
She was the proud mother of Brian and the very proud grandmother of Sawyer and Cohen.
She is survived by her brothers Thomas (Kathy), Frank, and Michael and her sisters Roseann, Kathleen, and Dianne (Ray). She also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
As a cancer survivor, Regina was a generous supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. In lieu of memorial contributions, please make donations to stjude.org.
