

He was born and raised in Flushing, Queens, New York. Richard proudly served in the United States Navy and carried that spirit of service with him throughout his life. He was known for his willingness to help others and his ability to make people laugh, bringing lightness and warmth to those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine; his daughter Melissa Malick and son-in-law Hunter Malick, and their son Carter Malick; his daughter Rebecca and his son-in-law Louis Guarneri; his daughter Angela Boseman and son-in-law Timothy Boseman, along with their beloved cat LoveBug; his son Richard and daughter-in-law Coral, along with their cherished pets Koda and Ember; his sisters Georgette Timmerman, Barbara Pepe, and Lynne Cook, and brother-in-law Michael Anton; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Richard will be remembered as a kind, funny, and generous man who loved to serve others. He had a gift with words and a natural ability to make people laugh, even in difficult times.
He was deeply devoted to his wife, worked hard and diligently, and faced life with perseverance. He wore his heart on his sleeve and never left things unsaid—if he loved you, he made sure you knew.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 7100 Holly Springs Road, Raleigh, NC 27606.
He was ready to go to heaven, and now he rests with eternal joy.
