Robbie Vincent Huskisson, 79, of Holly Springs, North Carolina, passed away on October 11, 2026. Born January 11, 1947, in Wise, Virginia, Robbie lived a life marked by steady devotion—to family, to country, and to the work set before him—leaving behind a legacy of service and quiet strength that will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
Robbie graduated from Whitesburg High School in Whitesburg, Kentucky, and attended Berea College for two years before answering the call to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Even while serving, he continued his education and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Wayland Baptist University, reflecting a disciplined commitment to learning and personal achievement that remained with him throughout his life.
Robbie proudly served 23 years in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt). After his military retirement, he dedicated 20 years to the UNC Adams School of Dentistry as a Clinical Operations Manager. In all, Robbie devoted 43 years of service to the field of dentistry, remembered for the diligence he brought to every responsibility, the leadership he offered with consistency, and the generous spirit with which he supported those around him.
A friendly and neighborly presence, Robbie was cherished by all who knew him—someone others could count on, both in moments that called for hard work and in the everyday kindnesses that build a life well lived. A proud patriot, he held a deep appreciation for military service and for his country. He especially treasured time with family and loved escaping to the mountains, where he found peace and happiness.
Robbie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Tricia "Toshiko" Huskisson; his children, Rosanna Arrington (Samuel Sheets) and William Huskisson (Courtney); and his cherished grandchildren, Grant Arrington, Kaylee Arrington, Amaya Huskisson, Haven Huskisson, Jaxon Goldenberg-Sheets, and Laken Goldenberg-Sheets; and his "granddog" Skylar. He is also survived by his sister, Marcia McElroy (Larry). He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Huskisson.
Known to his grandchildren as Papa, Robbie will be remembered as a loving grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family and always wanted to be surrounded by those he loved. His devotion to his family was the steady center of his life, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502, on October 18, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the nursing staff at UNC REX Heart and Vascular Center for the exceptional care, compassion, and unwavering support provided to our father and our family.
