Rodney James Nicholson

Rodney was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all he met. Rodney was born on September 5, 1947 in Wakefield, NE. He grew up in Wakefield, Nebraska where he graduated from High School. Rodney was a man of many interests and held jobs as a beer distributor salesman and delivery person, a bar owner, independent truck driver and Lowe’s Foods in Apex among other ventures.

Rodney is survived by his wife Vicki Nicholson of Apex, mother Mylet Korth Nicholson of Wakefield, NE, brother Terry Nicholson of Wakefield, NE, sister Pamela Nicholson of Lincoln, NE, son Wade Nicholson and his wife Amy of Clayton, NC by way of St. Bonifacius, MN, granddaughters Kiersten and Karissa Nicholson of Burnsville, MN, great granddaughter Tianna Nicholson also of Burnsville, MN, daughter Tammy Jo Nicholson Keadle and husband Michael of Apex, as well as a vast extended family in and around the Midwestern states.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father James Benton Nicholson of Wakefield, NE.

A memorial celebration of life will be held 11am-1pm Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502.
