Ruben Daniel Honeycutt Jr.

Dan was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked for Precision Walls, Inc. for 33 years before retiring. It was then that he and his wife Brenda became owners of Plaza Cleaners in Chapel Hill, NC.

He was an active member of the Occoneechee Historic Speedway Group as well as a member and car owner in the Southern Ground Pounders Vintage Racing Club.

Dan is survived by his wife Brenda Dye Honeycutt of Apex, NC; daughters Cindy Jeffries and her husband Jerry of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Sonya Brightman of Richwood, WV, Dana Garver and her husband Kenny of Garner, NC, and Sherry Duke of Durham, NC; sister Faye Davis and her husband C.Y. of Fuquay-Varina, NC; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Apex Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 am Apex Funeral Home, 550 West Williams Street, Apex, NC 27502. Burial follows immediately at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
