Sam served in the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He was a proud member of the Baileys Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad in Falls Church, VA. He lived in Annandale VA with his wife and children for 37 years before retiring from the U.S. Postal Service. They moved to Cary in 2010, where he enjoyed new friends and weekly card games.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Price of Cary; son, Steven Stark of Florida; daughter, Dana Fraser (James) of Cary; granddaughters, Megan Fraser and Julia Fraser of Cary; sister, Paulette McMullen and brother, Edward Price both of Ohio.
A burial will be arranged for a later time in Charlottesville, VA.
