Sherri you are thought about, often . I know if anyone made it to heaven, it would be you and my grandmother.  I miss you, and your motherly advice and little talks we use to have while working.

It’s with a very heavy heart to hear of Sherri’s passing .  I worked with her when I was in my mid 20’s back in the the early 90’s. We worked together in Cary, NC. She was so sweet, beautiful , Christian woman .  I remember she always  had a smile and often spoke of her children she loved so dearly .  She had a calm peace about her that drew you in. I ran into her in 2015 and she seemed so happy. Little did I know our short encounter would be our last . Love and prayers to the family and grandkids .

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Sherri. You were a Blessing to all who met you on earth and I know you’re a Blessing in Heaven.

I knew Sherri from SAS Health Care.

Sherri was a bright beacon, a kind soul, a kindred spirit. That beaming smile of hers would brighten your day. Sherri and I would chat about life, about things big and small. She knew how to connect with people. She would instinctively know what things you had in common, and loved to bond over those. We typically only had five minutes at a time, but oh, how she made those five minutes special. She loved her job, and she loved her family even more.

You know, some people go through the motions of doing a job. Not Sherri. When she was in the room with you, she focused on you. There was nothing else that mattered to her in that moment except you – and she was genuine. When she asked you how you were doing, she was asking because she cared. She listened.

We have lost someone so very special.

I'm so sorry to learn of Sherri's passing. I saw her occasionally when visiting the SAS Health Care Center for appointments. She always had such a bright, beautiful energy and it was always enjoyable to interact with her. No doubt this is a heartbreaking loss not only for her loving family but for the SAS family as well. Wishing all who know and love Sherri peace and comfort during this difficult time.

So very sorry to hear this. Sherri made each trip to SAS Healthcare better...just to talk to her and see her beautiful smile.  She will be greatly missed. Continued prayers for her family and friends. 

So very sad to learn of Sherri's passing.  I knew her only professionally - she was my doctor's nurse at SAS Institute, but each time I would visit the Health Care Center, she always seemed  to make me feel like I was one of her best friends.  She had a special charm that made you feel that way!  I'm not surprised when I read all of the memories here that people have shared and how much everyone loved her smiling face and upbeat personality.  To the Family, thank you for sharing all the wonderful photos of good times with Sherri - they show just how much she loved you all!   God bless. 

I will forever remember Sherri's dazzling smile and eyes that sparkled.  I will miss our lunches, seeing chalk pictures  on the driveway from Michael , talking about children, but mostly grandchildren, sharing dark chocolate, celebrating our wedding anniversaries the same year (we both married in 1977), learning new games to play, and talking about travel.   She will be remembered and greatly missed.  

We have so many special memories with Sherri, Mike, and our girls. We had many fun times in Shepherd’s  Vineyard being at the pool, playing tennis, walking and talking while watching our kids grow up. Your home was like a second home to Crystal; always loving and inviting.
Sherri was such a sweet soul! Kindness oozed through her great smile.
We are thankful we were able to watch her sweet service virtually.
It was a beautiful testament to her life and a great encouragement to others.

To Sherri's Family - 

What a wonderful example of a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. I have such fond memories of Mrs. Cox, from my cheerleading days at CATS with Stacy and seeing her smiling face when I was at the SAS Healthcare Center. In fact, my mom reminded me the other day about the time we got stranded at Walt Disney World on a cheerleading trip and none of us knew how to get a taxi!  She will always be remembered. Saying lots of prayers for Sherri's friends and especially her family during this difficult time.

Although my time with Sherri was short, her smile, kindness and zest for life made a lasting impact on me. I feel so fortunate for the opportunity to have known her and will miss seeing her at the HCC.   She was an incredible woman who leaves a legacy of perseverance, strength and love that we can all learn from and carry in our hearts forever. Sending love and comfort to her close friends and family!

While I did not get a chance to be in the presence of Sherri, I was honored to have a phone call with her related to work. From the very minute she said hello, I felt as if I had known her for a while. She was kind, friendly and warm and made me feel completely at ease which is just as how everyone who have had the privilege and honor of knowing her have described her. I can only imagine how fulfilling she must have made everyone's life if I felt the calmness just hearing her voice.
My condolences to the family and friends as they bid her goodbye but I find comfort in knowing that she leaves an unforgettable legacy in the lives of people who have been touched and forever changed by her presence.

I miss Sherri so much. Her smile, kindness, friendliness & ever present optimism made her a joy to be with....every day.  She was a great nurse, so Knowledgeable & efficient yet would never make anyone feel rushed.   She calmed us all.   Sherri knew what to do for patients & providers as well as the staff she managed in a way that was seamless & inspired confidence.  She listened  with full attention  no matter what she was doing.  Her energy & enthusiasm were amazing.  I think about her walking around the clinic in that pace that was Sherri’s, with warmth & a readiness to help in any way.   She happily gave to us so much....
It’s hard to imagine our world without her. 

My husband had the pleasure of working with Sherri for more than 7 years.  I, being a patient, Sherri would always take special care of me and encouraged me when dealing with both health issues and personal ones.  She was always  encouraging with kind words and her smile would take away all my worries.

One day I ran into Sherri at a store and she was with her son and grandson.  Sherri of course came up to me to say hello.  Her grandson was holding on to her leg and Sherri was patting him on his head reassuring him she was there for him.  She introduced me to her son and her grandson and we talked a bit.  You can tell how much her grandson loved her.  

Sherri you made your mark on my heart and your smile will always be in my mind when I think of you.  Our prayers and thoughts go out to her husband and her family.

I am so sorry to hear that Sherri lost her battle with cancer.    She was often my nurse when I had appointments at SAS Health Care.   She will be missed.   My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Sherri was my nurse for many years , and although I was sad to lose that relationship, I was happy for her to get a promotion. She was a very special person and I am so very sorry to hear of her loss. Prayers for her family. 

I was lucky enough to know Sherri as a coworker and friend. We worked together at Apex Family Medicine for 3 years and than close to 18 years at SAS. She is a wonderful person. We had this standing joke she was my" Little Southern Belle" and I was her "Little NY Yankee". Going to miss her smile and love she gave. Until we meet again some day  every time I hear "Sherri baby" I will think of you. 

We are so sorry to hear of Sherri’s passing.  My brothers and I lived next to Sherri and her family in Sunset Acres for many years.  She was a wonderful person. Heart broken today to learn of Sherri’s passing.  Sherri lit up the world with her smile, gentle way, and kindness.  No matter how bad I felt visiting healthcare, Sherri ALWAYS lifted the cloud.  A genuine,  class act  with a mighty heart bigger than her. 
Prayers to the family.  An angel returned to heaven, not to be forgotten on earth.

When I woke up this morning, the reality of the passing of my sweet friend had surfaced. Sherri passed away on October 25th, but I could not believe it until now. Sherri and I met in Shepherd’s Vineyard 33yrs ago. We became friends soon, and enjoyed each other’s company. We would be at the pool together watching our children play and soaking up the sun with laughter surrounding us. 

As the years passed, now we are working side by side as nurses for a family practice. Sherri was a wonderful nurse who gave it her all. Years continued to pass, and now my daughter Katie, and Sherri’s son Stephen attended Senior Prom together. I have so many more memories that I could share, but I choose to keep them close to my heart.

Sherri fought a courageous battle. She never gave up. So I just need to say, that I love you Sherri and will always cherish the friendship we had together.

Sherri was a beloved nurse and an admired leader.  It was a blessing to know and work with her.   It was clear to anyone that  knew Sherri that her beautiful family was her world.  I have prayed for your family and will continue to do so.  God bless you all. 

Aunt Sherri was a blessing in our lives.  I will always remember her laugh and smile.  She was so fun to be around.  I know she is smiling down on us all now with Grandma Nita by her side.  I love you guys and I am so very sorry for your loss.  

She was a special human being, a competent nurse and personified the best nurse, mentor or friend. I first met her while working with Dr. Brown and was so happy to see that she joined the care team at SAS  Institute. She will remain in the hearts of any one of us fortunate enough to know her.

I was so sadden to hear about Sherri ‘s passing. She filled our lives with her contagious smile& laughter. Her family became our family, growing up., along with our other neighbors in our small tight-knit neighborhood. 
Please know Michael, you  and your dear family are in my prayers. You were her life... I hope in the days ahead knowing how much she loved you, will bring  you some comfort.

Sherri was the most energetic and happy person . 
Some patients who hate to come to  a medical office would only come if she was going to be there that day. She would talk them into taking their medicine, going for a walk,  eating better.  
I think her love of people made them love themselves.
I miss her terribly
I was able raise $750 dollars for the Pancreatic Action Cancer Network in October in Sherri's name, through Facebook. Though they could not link to your team it is going to fight the disease.



I remember Sheri growing up in Sunset Acer's in Jacksonville.  My deepest condolences to all her family & extended family.  Mary & Jeff Cotter.
