Sherrie Kathleen Grimes

Sherrie Grimes, 57, of Apex, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on February 7, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1967, in Inglewood, California, to John Harvey Janner and Betty Jean Israelson.

Sherrie was a devoted wife to her husband, Jack Grimes, whom she married in 2000. She was also a loving mother to her son, Tyler Grimes. Her warmth and outgoing nature made her instantly likable to all who met her.

She built a career as a sales agent with Apollo Moving Company but found true joy in her passions outside of work. A dedicated animal lover, Sherrie fostered numerous animals over the years and was an active member of "Save the Sealions." She also had a deep love for music and enjoyed attending live rock concerts whenever she could.

Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents, John Harvey Janner and Betty Jean Israelson.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Grimes of Apex, NC; her son, Tyler Grimes of Apex, NC; and her brother, Jerry Janner of Huntington Beach, CA.

Family and friends will gather to honor Sherrie's life on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Apex Funeral Home in Apex, North Carolina.

Her kindness and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
