Stephanie Rose Nelson

Steph was born on March 26, 1987 in Woonsocket, RI to her parents, Phillip Lapre and Kathleen Woodason. Steph was a great animal lover. She got her love of animals from her grandfather, her “Pepe”, and this influenced her career choice of veterinary care. Her home was ruled by a dog, Angus, and two cats, Kaia and Kona. Steph had a passion for travel and new experiences. Some of her treasured memories were visiting Paris, skiing in Colorado and hiking the slopes of Mt. Rainier in Washington State. Perhaps her most joyous moment combined her love of animals and travel by swimming with the dolphins in Cancun. Although these travel experiences might be the most exciting, above all else, Steph treasured friends and family and her trips to be with them in Massachusetts reflected this emotion.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Patrick; her mother, Kathy; her father, Phil; her brother, Mike; her family in Massachusetts; and the Nelson family.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with inurnment to follow.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to SPCA and the Stay Beautiful Foundation.
