Steve was born on December 27, 1956 in Wake Co, NC to the late Ralph (Brownie) and Jeannine Copeland Arthurs.
At an early age he found his love and passion for music leading him to become one of the greatest drummers there’s ever been.
He started playing regularly in his band George while attending Apex High School. From then on he went on to play with numerous other bands, most notably Messablues, which he played with for over a decade. After high school Steve attended Atlantic Christian College and went on to get a degree in Food Science at North Carolina State University. He then worked at GoodMark Foods for over 25 years.
What Steve loved the most in life was his family, his son and daughter, Brad “Buckwheat” Arthurs and Chelsea “Princess” Arthurs, along with his dog, Mr. Ringo, who was his world and by his side to the end.
Along with Steve’s children, he is survived by two brothers , Gary (Janet) Arthurs of Johnsonville, SC and Bart (Denise) Arthurs of Apex, NC and numerous family members and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and guests prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
