

Suzanne Duggan, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on April 21, 2026, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Born on April 19, 1930, in Boston, Massachusetts. Suzanne was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and treasured friend to many.
She spent more than 50 years in Northern California before moving to Raleigh, North Carolina where she lived her final two years at the Templeton Community. Suzanne was an elegant and graceful beauty all of her lifetime, always putting others first. She attended Manchester High School, Central in New Hampshire and later graduated in 1948 from Vermont’s St. Johnsbury Academy. After her Academy graduation she pursued a legal secretary position in Manchester while also working part-time in the local library. In 1949 she met her husband, John E. Duggan. The two courted in the town’s dance halls before getting married on September 23, 1950. Suzanne was talented, always an excellent dance partner to John with an infectious laugh, a twinkle in her eye and a fierce love for her husband until the end.
Suzanne is survived by John E. Duggan, her dear and devoted husband of 75 years; and by her seven children; 15 grandchildren; and by her 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel Silkey and Clinton Randolph Silkey, and grandfather, Benjamin Richardson.
Suzanne Duggan will forever be loved and cherished by everyone whose lives she touched.
The family will hold two services for Suzanne, May 8th, 10:30am at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Rd, Apex, NC and a Celebration of Life on May 9, 2026 at 2PM at The Tempelton of Cary, 215 Brightmore Dr, Cary, NC 27518 and condolences may be sent to this same address.
