Thomas was born December 8, 1946 in Tahlequah, OK to the late Thomas Edward Coker, Sr. and Olivene Scraper Coker. He was a graduate of Daniel Webster High School and veteran of the US Navy. Thomas was a 30 year surgical scrub tech in the Indian Health Service. He was a dedicated and faithful follower of Christ.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Iris Coker; son, Richard Coker (Amanda); daughters, Jewel Jerkins (Shane) and Tomi Coker; and three grandchildren.
Thomas will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Chatham Community Church, 480 Hillsboro Street, Suite 800, Pittsboro, NC 27312. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youth Ministry Fund at Chatham Community Church.
