Thomas was born February 4, 1943 in Eureka, CA to the late Thomas and Vivian Wilhite Hutchins.
Thomas was a family man, spending much time with his wife, 2 children and their families. Thomas' other passions included fishing, tinkering in his garage, golfing and helping others.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Beverly Hutchins; daughter, Cheryl Hutchins; son, Dale Hutchins and wife, Carrie; sister, Patricia Kester; 4 grandsons, Ethan, Devin, Max and Jake.
A memorial service will be held 10am January 1, 2019 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
