Ulysses Clay Green

Ulysses was born October 17, 1943 in Charleston County, SC to the late Julian Green and Margie (Snyder) Green. He grew up in McClellanville, SC and moved to Teaneck, NJ with his family in the 1960’s. He then lived in South Brunswick, NJ until later moving to Charlotte, NC in 1997, and last settling in Concord, NC.

He attended and was a member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Concord, NC.

Ulysses was preceded in death by his brother Marcus Green; father, Julian Green; and mother, Margie Green.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheena Green-Jones, her husband, Brian and her mother, Lori; his granddaughter, Corinne Jones; his brother Theodore Green and sister-in-law Patricia; his nieces and nephews: Giovanna Green-Williams, Barry, Travis and Renee Green, and Marcus and Kevin Carbone; his grand nieces and nephews: Tara, Ty and Tevin Williams, LaAsia Bryant and Janee Key, Chloe Brown and Isaiah and Nyasia Green, Marcus and Justin Carbone, and Torin Butler; his great grand nieces and nephews: Mila, Addison and Amari; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502.
