Waylon was born May 8th, 1981 in Portland, Oregon to John Sr. and Vicki Edelen. Waylon was a loving father, husband, and friend to everyone. His jokes could make anyone laugh. He loved anything outdoorsy and spent lots of time with the kids, camping, building fires, swimming, fishing or jumping off bridges. He was a lover of antiques, cooking and an avid Duke fan. Family was the most important thing to him.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dana; sons, Jayden and Rylan; daughter, Ava; parents, John Sr and Vicki; brother, Nathaniel; sister, Sarah; aunts, Ann, Sherrill and Jean; cousins, Andrea, Ashley, Mark, Danielle, and Uriah and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St., Apex, NC 27502 on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends and guests prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
