Wesley, a native of Winston-Salem, NC, was born on February 28, 1936, to the late Linton and Alice Keith. After his education at both Wake Forest University and Washington & Lee University, as well as training and service in the US Army, Wesley held career roles in business, education, and landscape management. Wesley enjoyed volunteering with his church and with his children’s activities, as well as singing in church and community choirs, especially with the Mozart Club in Winston-Salem, as they annually presented Handel’s Messiah. Wesley was known for his trust in Jesus both in this life and the life hereafter. His dedication to good health and physical fitness kept both his children and the young people he coached fit and encouraged.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving sister, Marjorie Harrison, and former spouse Ann Keith.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Stephen Keith (Lisa Glover) and James Keith (Senta Keith) and daughter, Linda Chadwick (Adam Chadwick). He also has four granddaughters who will dearly miss Grandpa Wesley.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens (7600 ACC Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27617).
