William "Bill" Kane Jr.

William “Bill” Kane Jr, 63 of Holly Springs, passed away on October 14, 2026, just five days before his 63rd birthday. He was born in Youngstown, OH on October 19, 1962, to his parents, William Kane Sr and Eileen Ann Mahoney. He spent most of his life in Rochester, NY before moving to Raleigh, NC in 2015.

Of all the jobs he held, his favorite was his most recent, as closing manager at Target. Away from work, he loved watching sports and spending time doing woodworking. He was always the biggest goofball in the room and never took life too seriously, and he made sure everyone around him didn’t either.

Nothing made him prouder than getting to watch his granddaughter, Landry, grow up in person. Every day he’d ask, “Who’s the greatest?” And every time, she’d shout back “Papa!” He’d be the first to tell you that she was right.

He is preceded in death by his parents William Kane Sr, and Eileen Ann Mahoney, and brother, Jack Kane.

Survived by his children, Megan Kane and Zachary Kane; their mother, Susan Kane; and his siblings, Kathleen, Theresa, Mary, and Michael.

William will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
