William "Bill" Travers Laundon

Bill was a proud graduate of JR Reynolds high school in Winston-Salem as well as North Carolina State University school of business in Raleigh, where he helped charter the Lambda Omicron chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, the largest and oldest professional business fraternity in the world. Bill loved everything Wolfpack. From Roman Gabriel to Saniya Rivers, if you played at State, he was a fan.

He is preceded in death by his son, Samuel Laundon; brother, Walter C Laundon; father, Thomas C Laundon; mother, Pauline C Laundon; step mother, Peggy B Laundon and two best friends Roscoe and Jackson Laundon.

Bill is survived by his sons, Thomas Laundon and Rob Laundon to whom he was a loving and dedicated father.

Bill’s sharp whit, determination, and passion for the world around him will be missed by all those that were fortunate enough to meet him.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Apex Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and guests following the service.
