Andre graduated from Victor Valley High School in Victorville, CA- Class of 1979. After graduation, he attended two higher education institutions- Victor Valley Community College and the University of Southern California. He took immense pride when he transitioned from a VV Jackrabbit to a USC Trojan. As a Trojan, he began a legacy that will be continued in the Burnell family.
Andre held various jobs in his life. He worked for Riverside Cement Company, Apria Medical Supplies, and Florida Power and Lighting Solar Plant. However, the job he loved the most was as a baker for Sunrise Donuts. It was the job that allowed him to pay for his love- a fire engine red, with orange flames, Datsun hotrod truck.
Andre loved to read and watch most sporting events. His favorite sport was football. His least favorite was cricket which he regarded with quiet disdain. He loved to work with his hands- on cars and anything mechanical. He loved to be outdoors- the beach, the mountains, the backyard- anywhere that he could feel the sun on his skin and was wide open. He loved to grill and to cook and fancied himself as a Grill Master. He loved his family, most especially his daughter- Shanna.
Andre has left this world to join his mother, Maryeon. He leaves to celebrate his life his father-Grady, siblings- Stephanie, Nari, Don and Angel, daughter- Shanna; stepchildren- Laurie (Johnnie) and Daniel (Linda), step-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his soulmate- Tammy.
