

Andrew Turrey passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on July
6th, 1931 in Watts located in Los Angeles, California. Andrew and his family moved to
Hesperia, California in 1988 and Andrew moved to Bullhead City, Arizona in 2012.
Andrew or Andy as he was known by family and friends was known for his sense of humor and
determination to complete what he started, and willingness to help anyone in need. Andy served
in the Army, and was the recipient of a National Defense Service Medal.Andy was a Retired
Journeyman Cement Finisher with more than 30 yrs in the trade. Andy was raised in a Catholic
home but became a Christian after his wife passed away in 2003.
He is survived by his brother Robert J. Turrey, Sister Carolyn J. Byars and brother in law Randall
Byars, son in law Pat Lofton, his children Amber Tromblee and son in law Jim Tromblee their
children Ty and Erin Tromblee, April Tompkins and son in law Lester Tompkins their children
Joshua, Justin, Johanna and Julianna Tompkins, Patrick Lofton and his children Wyatt, Payton
and Adalyn Lofton and Derrick Lofton; his son and daughter in law Ronald G.Turrey and
Katherine Elaine Turrey, their Grandsons Jordan Cook and Titus Turrey, daughter and son in law
Megan and Dane Dettorre their children Creedence Tolle and Reazen Dettorre; his son Craig
A.Turrey, his son Steven C. Turrey and his son Douglas A. Turrey and daughter in law April
Turrey, Douglas’s children Christain,Victoria, Dylan and Andrew Turrey. He is also survived by
4 Great-Great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Virginia Lee Turrey in 2003, his daughter
Linda Pam Lofton in 2019, his parents Andrew G. and Ruth C. Turrey, his brother Arthur
E.Turrey, his sister Rose Marie Bays, his sister Anita C.Turrey, his sister Sharon Lee Smead, his
sister Ruth M. Letcher and brother in law A.L. “Bob”Letcher, his niece Susan Turrey, and his
grandson Jeremy Turrey in 2008.
Andy’s life was characterized by his ability to live life on his own terms. He was a very private
independent person who tried not to be a burden to anyone. Andy still lived alone and drove
himself wherever he needed to go. He believed in God and His mercy, love and forgiveness. His
favorite bible verses were Matthew 18:12-14 NLT
[12] “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he
leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? [13] And if
he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t
wander away! [14] In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these
little ones should perish. and Matthew 18:21-22 NLT
[21] Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins
against me? Seven times?” [22] “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times
seven!y.
Andy loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed camping with the family. Andy also loved taking
photographs. Andy was a lifetime member of the VFW, he also supported the Wounded Warriors
Project.
The service for Andy will be held on December 3, 2025 at 1100 am
